Bogie Drop System

Bogie Drop System

The Bogie Drop System is essential for efficient bogie replacement and heavy underframe maintenance without lifting the entire rail vehicle. Designed for installation within maintenance pits, this system enables safe and precise lowering of bogies, traction motors, or other large components directly beneath the vehicle. It minimizes vehicle handling, reduces downtime, and streamlines depot workflows — supporting both routine and overhaul-level maintenance with enhanced safety, structural stability, and operational control.

Description

The Bogie Drop System is designed for lifting, lowering, and disassembling bogies from rail vehicles, including Monorail, EMU, and train car bodies, in a safe and efficient manner. It features a V-type fixture/rails to securely hold the bogie wheels while it is lifted, lowered, and transferred onto the equipment at rail level after dismantling. The system minimizes stress on the bogie and undercarriage when used in conjunction with a mobile lifting jack.

For enhanced operational control, it supports remote or wireless radio-controlled operation, eliminating the need for manual intervention while ensuring high precision, reliability, and operational accuracy.
